The instructions on setting this up was not very clear. But It eventually worked itself out, and it is very good now.

For the first month I was really happy with this router. The 2.4ghz range was good for my NYC apartment (even with over 20+ neighboring access points in range) and the 5ghz was giving me over 50mbits/s with my fios. I like the clean and simple interface as well.

What I didn’t like was that one month to the day after I bought it the router started freezing up or denying new connections. While one user could be on, a new device would not be able to connect. At my home we have 2 laptops, 2 IP cameras, 2 cell phones, 2 tablets, and a Fire TV. Nothing overly taxing for a device such as this. Twice a day I have to go and reboot the router to get things working again. Now it’s too late to return it and I’m going to have to spend another $100 buying a new router. I can’t even give this router to my parents as I know they’d be calling me up every night asking whats wrong with the network. It’s basically a brick to me. I’ll be avoiding TP-Link in the future for sure.

I’d also note that the connection time is worse than other routers I’ve had in the past Before my router started dying on me it would still take on average 10 seconds for a device to auto-reconnect, where my previous router was 2-3 seconds.
