Wireless routers reviews tend to be kind of... shall we say, biased? When you pick up a tech magazine, you’re likely to read a whole bunch of gushing praise for new products. Turn the page, and you see pages and pages of ads bought up by the company that the magazine was just praising!

Here on the good ol’ internet, we usually do things a little differently. Print magazines cost a lot of money to keep in publication, and the majority of that money comes not from the asking price at the newstand, but from the advertisers. A bad review in a national publication might lead to your sponsors pulling out all of their ads. A streak of bad reviews might lead to an out and out advertising boycott. Wireless routers reviews, as with any other reviews, can jeopardize business relations when they’re overly negative. So what to do when your biggest advertiser releases a crummy router? Well, suck it up and try to say something nice, while overlooking its many faults.
